Synopsis

Continues the story of Bakumatsu

In the chaotic Bakumatsu era, young men were consumed by anxieties over their country's destiny. Takasugi Shinsaku, a mercenary from Choshu, boards a government vessel alongside his ally Katsura Kogorou, seeking a legendary "timepiece" said to govern time. Convinced the government intends to monopolize the artifact, Takasugi aims to destroy it. However, after obtaining the device, it is swiftly stolen, forcing the pair to pursue the elusive thief to Kyoto, the seat of government authority. Upon arriving in Kyoto, they find the government has been overthrown and replaced by the deity Susanoo. The city and its residents have changed dramatically since their last visit. Despite these transformations, their determination to restore the timeline and defend their homeland against malevolent forces remains steadfast.

Upon arriving, they find the government has fallen and been replaced by the deity Susanoo. The city and its people have changed drastically from what Takasugi and Katsura remembered. Yet their determination to fix time and protect their homeland from malevolent forces remains steadfast.
