Synopsis
Humanity can be divided into two kinds: ordinary folks who work to earn a living, and the undead who work for the dead. The undead devote their lives to fulfilling the final wishes of ghosts who died carrying regrets. As for Baili Dengfeng, he has one and only one destiny in this world: to track down his wife Ruyan, who has been missing for a long time. During his journey, Dengfeng makes the acquaintance of Jia Xuan, whose family was murdered and whose revenge remains unfulfilled; Liang You, who is cute, mischievous, and deeply fond of him; and Liang Yuan, who simply doubts everything in a neurotic manner. After a series of incidents, he comes to learn of the existence of Spirit Masters and Spirit Slaves, and gets in touch with a mysterious organization called the "Spirits Expelling Order". With every new mystery that surfaces, the truth inches closer and closer to Dengfeng—a truth he might well wish he never had to face.
