The story takes place in the chaotic late Tang Dynasty, an era of political unrest and pervasive unease. A mysterious organization known as "Bu Liang Ren," a covert agency of the government, has vanished completely, taking with it the priceless treasures stored in the imperial treasury. According to legend, the key to everything resides in the legendary Longquan Sword, which bestows tremendous power upon whoever wields it. Li Xingyun lost his parents when he was young and was brought up and trained by the kind-hearted recluse Yang Shuzi. Over time, Li Xingyun grew into a lively and energetic young man. Along with his fellow student Lu Linxuan, he left the mountain to refine his skills, and they met Ji Ruxue and Zhang Zifan. By a twist of fate, Li Xingyun obtained the Longquan Sword, and word of this quickly spread to numerous groups. Consequently, these factions dispatched killers to chase after Li Xingyun and his companions, seeking to take the coveted blade for themselves.
