In Mob Psycho 100 II, Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama continues to mature, developing a sharper understanding of how his psychic powers impact those nearby. Partnering with his mentor Reigen Arataka, he tackles various supernatural occurrences, ranging from exorcisms to debunking local myths. However, Mob no longer follows Reigen without question; the struggles of possessing immense psychic strength have left a lasting mark. As they encounter increasingly perilous and unsettling threats, the atmosphere grows darker and more serious, reflecting the gravity of these new challenges.

Following a worldwide disaster, Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama returns to his daily routine, which involves navigating a difficult career survey at school. Simultaneously, he continues to assist his mentor Arataka Reigen and the newly arrived Katsuya Serizawa in resolving various paranormal issues for their clients. Through these endeavors, Mob strives to gain independence with both his psychic powers and his personal life while forging deeper connections with those around him. However, fresh challenges, spanning both the supernatural and the mundane, test Mob's emotional resilience, forcing him to confront the darker aspects of his reality.
