Synopsis

Continues the story of Aria the Avvenire

The first episode begins with Ai practicing on a gondola alongside Akari. While navigating a canal, they run into Aika and Alice. Since becoming Prima undines, the three have rarely had time to meet. Considering even the brief moments they share a "miracle," Akari recalls a particular incident and tells Ai about it. The second episode starts with Ai relating a story to Akari about a "miracle" she encountered during her own practice. While traveling down an unfamiliar route, she caught sight of Cait Sith. After stepping off her gondola to chase it, she comes across two Single undines from Himeya company and Orange Planet who are in the middle of a practice session.

In this installment

Anya Dostoyevskaya, a trainee Undine at the Orange Company, becomes disheartened after discovering that her gondolier mentor, Alice Carroll, has been neglecting her own former mentor, Athena Glory. Athena, who once worked as an Undine and now performs as an opera singer, has been trying to arrange a meeting with Alice, but Alice appears to be avoiding her for reasons that are unclear. To help resolve this situation, Anya joins forces with her fellow Undine colleagues, Ai Aino and Azusa B. McLaren. As the three work to bring Alice and Athena back together, Anya begins to understand the feelings of her seniors, which may hold the key to healing their unresolved rift.

Background

Aria the Crepuscolo was released to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Aria the Animation anime adaptation. The movie features an original story written by series creator Kozue Amano. The film was released on Blu-ray in Japan on August 18, 2021.
