Synopsis
Continues the story of Accel World
Haruyuki Arita, a middle school student who endures frequent bullying and finds refuge in online gaming, sees his world upended when Kuroyukihime, the popular vice president of the student council and a top player in his favorite game, claims the number one spot on the leaderboard. Summoned to the student lounge, Haruyuki is introduced by Kuroyukihime to Brain Burst, a program that amplifies brain function and generates a virtual battlefield where time appears to stand still. In this realm, players accumulate acceleration points through combat, but losing all points results in permanent deletion from the system. Kuroyukihime enlists Haruyuki's aid to locate the program's creator and uncover its true intent. Their mission requires confronting the Six Kings of Pure Color, the formidable leaders of various factions, and ascending to level 10. Following Kuroyukihime's intervention to halt his tormentors, Haruyuki accepts her offer, launching their shared journey toward the pinnacle of Accel World.

An anonymous avatar seizes control of the Umesato Junior High Local Network, trapping students and stripping them of their clothes and belongings. After realizing other schools face similar incidents, Kuroyukihime calls on Haruyuki Arita and the remaining members of Nega Nebulus, one of the Seven Great Legions, to look into the matter. Haruyuki has a mandatory physical re-examination due in two weeks. Failing it would prevent him from participating in future territory battles with Nega Nebulus. To keep their legion from losing "Silver Crow," Chiyuri Kurashima decides on her own to help Haruyuki get back into shape before the test.
