Synopsis

Continues the story of Ushio & Tora (2015)

Ushio Aotsuki is a stubborn middle schooler and the son of an unusual temple priest. He dismisses his father’s stories about mythical creatures called youkai, preferring a normal life. But when his father is away, Ushio has to handle the temple by himself. During his routine chores, he makes a terrifying find in the basement—a powerful youkai named Tora, held captive by the legendary Beast Spear. Tora, known for his destructive powers, tries to trick Ushio into freeing him after centuries of imprisonment. Ushio doesn’t trust his promises and refuses to let him go. However, when a sudden youkai attack threatens his friends and home, Ushio is forced to team up with Tora, using the ancient spear to keep the beast under control. This unexpected partnership starts Ushio and Tora’s journey into the dangerous world of the spirit realm. Armed with the Beast Spear, Ushio discovers the harsh reality of the supernatural world and the dangers that come with it.

In this installment

This is the second season of Ushio to Tora (TV). In ancient times, a fearsome beast rampaged across the land until a samurai sealed it away using the legendary “Beast Spear.” Five centuries later, middle school student Ushio Aotsuki accidentally discovers the creature in a hidden basement beneath his family's temple. The unleashed monster and the spear draw numerous other supernatural beings to the temple, forcing Ushio to free the beast to fight them off. Naming the creature “Tora,” Ushio reluctantly partners with him to battle various spirits and demons.
