SF Shinseiki Lensman

Synopsis

Kim leads a tranquil existence alongside his father, cultivating their farm on their home planet. That peace shatters when a runaway spaceship is detected hurtling at great speed toward the farm. In an attempt to save his father, Kim boards the vessel and successfully brings it to a safe landing just before a crash occurs. Inside the ship, he discovers a critically wounded lone survivor. With his final words, the man implores Kim to deliver something of his to the Galactic Fleet. He then transfers an object attached to his own arm onto Kim's arm. That object is a Lens—and such a transfer was supposed to be impossible. Its acquisition transforms Kim into a Lensman. Besides granting Kim unknown powers, the Lens holds crucial intelligence necessary for the Galactic Fleet to triumph over the evil Boskone Empire. Now Kim must pilot the spaceship Britannia to bring the Lens to the Galactic Fleet. However, this mission is far from simple when Lord Helmet of the Boskone Empire is prepared to employ every resource at his disposal to stop him.
