At nineteen, Minato Sahashi is a promising but struggling student who has twice failed his college entrance exams, often dismissed by his peers as a hopeless loser with no future. His life changes dramatically when Musubi, a strikingly beautiful and powerful alien known as a Sekirei, crashes into his world. Sekirei are extraterrestrial beings with extraordinary abilities that can be activated in humans carrying the Ashikabi gene through a kiss. Believing in Minato's hidden potential, Musubi bonds with him by kissing him, linking them together and pulling Minato into the dangerous Sekirei Plan, a deadly tournament where Sekirei fight one another.
