In the realm of Ente Isla, the Demon Lord Satan commands a fearsome demon army, spreading terror and conquering lands until his campaign is shattered by the hero Emilia. Forced to flee through a dimensional rift, Satan arrives in modern-day Tokyo accompanied by his loyal general Alsiel. Though he intends to reconquer his homeland, he quickly discovers that his magical powers are nullified in this magic-less world. Assuming the human alias Sadao Maou, the former demon lord secures employment at MgRonald's fast-food restaurant to survive. As he navigates the corporate hierarchy and grapples with mundane struggles like part-time work, household chores, and financial instability, Satan realizes that ruling over Earth requires mastering these daily challenges just as much as reclaiming Ente Isla. "The Devil is a Part-Timer!" presents a comedic exploration of the difficulties of everyday life in the human world through these experiences.

In The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2, the former Demon Lord Satan, now known as Sadao Maou, remains in Tokyo following his defeat by the hero Emilia Justinia. He diligently works at a fast-food establishment to support his former lieutenants Alciel and Lucifer, all while striving to avoid clashes with Emilia in her human guise as Emi Yusa and the angels observing her. This tenuous peace is broken when a fierce dispute between Sadao and Emi tears open a dimensional rift, yielding a mysterious apple that houses a young girl named Alas Ramus, who insists they are her parents. Matters intensify with the arrival of Archangel Gabriel, who declares his intent to seize both Alas Ramus and Emi's sacred sword, threatening global annihilation if they resist. To safeguard those they cherish, the erstwhile adversaries must set aside their differences and unite.
