Lights of the Clione

Synopsis

In "Lights of the Clione," Minori Amamiya is an orphan who suffers from a chronic illness, causing her to frequently miss school and become a constant target of bullying from her middle school peers. They spread many false rumors and continually harass her. Although not every classmate takes part in the bullying, no one defends Minori, afraid they might become targets themselves. Yet two of her classmates, Takashi Aoi and Kyouko Tsukihashi, decide to stop this torment. Unable to directly confront the bullies, they devise a plan to befriend Minori after school, hoping to bring some happiness into her otherwise bleak life.
