Synopsis
Sumiko is a latch-key child living in a Tokyo suburb, where she has become something of a local celebrity. At eight years old, she aspires to be a famous singer one day. Her mother works at a neighborhood ramen shop, and Sumiko often spends time there after school. Her father is a truck driver who is frequently away from home, but when he is around, she loves going with him to the local karaoke box, where she can practice singing her favorite songs.
