In "Duel Masters Cross," Shobu and his companions continue their struggle against the remaining Fua Duelists, with the goal of defeating Zakira. At the World Championship, they encounter the key members of the Fua Duelists once more. Shobu discovers the difficult past his friends experienced with these adversaries.

During the world championship, Shobu and his team fight their way through the ranks of Fua Duelist, defeating every opponent until Shobu secures the world champion title. However, his triumph is fleeting, as he is soon summoned to the creature world to confront Diabolos Zeta, the Temporal Ruler, who threatens to unleash complete destruction. With the help of newly obtained legendary cards and the powers they grant, Shobu and his companions set out to stop Diabolos Zeta's sinister plans.
