Synopsis
In ancient times, magic flourished and brought great benefits to humanity until it became a weapon of war. Seven powerful mages then sacrificed themselves to seal away all magic, restoring peace. One thousand years later, the seal known as Magiaconatus governs Granbelm, a monthly contest designed to select the one worthy of becoming Princeps, the world's only true mage. During a full moon night, high school student Mangetsu Kohinata is inexplicably transported to an illusory realm where six mages are competing in Granbelm. Mistaken for a hostile mage, Mangetsu is attacked by two competitors until she is rescued by Shingetsu Ernesta Fukami and her partner, Armanox Viola Katze. When Shingetsu is ambushed while protecting Mangetsu, Magiaconatus grants Mangetsu the power of Armanox White Lily, enabling her to defend against Shingetsu's attackers. Confused yet resolute, Mangetsu decides to assist her new ally in Granbelm to support her dreams.
