Synopsis
In the cone-shaped region of Kikyougahara, located in Shin Province, lives a girl named Hana. She has a gentle nature and is always thinking about her family, especially her great-grandmother Chiyo, whom she lovingly calls "Granny." One day, a traveling entertainment troupe known as the Natsugawa Genzaemon Troupe passes through, and the villagers welcome them with open arms. After their performance concludes to great applause, the troupe's leader spots Hana holding some "oyaki," his favorite food, and transforms into a fox in his excitement. It turns out that the leader Genbanojou, along with his companions O-Natsu and Shinzaemon, are all foxes who have taken on human form. Genbanojou quickly strikes a deal with Hana, offering to grant her one wish in exchange for keeping their secret. Her answer: "I want to let my Granny see the cherry blossoms." This is part of the 2017 Anime Tamago Projects.
