Synopsis
In "Kanamemo," middle school student Kana Nakamachi faces a major upheaval after her grandmother's passing leaves her without a home. With no one willing to take her in due to her age, Kana discovers the Fuhshin Gazette, a local newspaper delivery service that offers her accommodation in exchange for work. The cozy shop is managed by a unique bunch: the sweet-tooth Yume Kitaoka and her partner Yuuki Minami; the thrifty Hinata Azuma; the drinker Haruka Nishida; and the wise beyond her years Saki Amano. Despite the welcoming environment, Kana must deal with lengthy shifts, guard dogs protecting mailboxes, and perplexing delivery paths. She also finds herself in a mild competition with Mika Kujiin, a rival from another delivery service. With these challenges, Kana’s days are filled with unexpected adventures!
