Synopsis

Continues the story of Candy Candy (Movie)

A baby girl named Candice White was abandoned on the steps of the Pony Home orphanage during a blizzard. The nuns named her after the doll left with her—which had "Candy" written on it—and gave her the surname White in honor of the snowstorm that brought her there. Life at the orphanage is generally calm and happy, though it's never truly peaceful with Candy around. She has a habit of getting into mischief, climbing trees, and roughhousing with anyone who challenges her. But soon, a series of tragic events begins to unfold.

In "The Call of Spring," Candy goes back to Pony's Home and comes across a young girl who has lost her parents and often stays away from the other children. To help lift her spirits, Candy tells her own story, starting with how Miss Pony and Sister Lane first found her, and then moving through her choice to leave the English boarding school in order to follow her own dreams.
