In the eyes of Souji Mitsuka, a first-year high school student, twintails represent the ultimate form of human beauty. His days are spent obsessing over and evaluating this hairstyle, leading him to establish a club devoted to twintails. His passion draws attention when extraterrestrial monsters invade Earth and claim all twintails for themselves. A mysterious woman named Twoearle enlists Souji, equipping him with his own set of twintails to fight these invaders. Transforming into the twintailed hero Tail Red, Souji takes on the sinister alien group Ultimegil, which seeks to conquer Earth and siphon the attribute power, or spiritual energy, from its inhabitants. Joined by the other twintailed warriors Aika Tsube and Erina Shindou, Souji embarks on a mission to thwart the alien forces and protect the cherished twintails.
