Synopsis

Continues the story of D.C.S.S. ~Da Capo Second Season~

In the past, Hatsune-Jima was famous for its cherry blossoms that bloomed all year long. But two years ago, those special trees lost their unique power, and now they only flower in spring, just like ordinary cherry trees. Jun'ichi Asakura, a senior at Kazami Academy, spends his final year of high school surrounded by both longtime friends and new acquaintances. One stormy summer evening, a mysterious young girl named Aisia shows up at Jun'ichi's front door, looking for Sakura's grandmother to study magic so she can bring happiness to everyone. When she finds out the grandmother, Yoshino, has died, Aisia mistakenly believes—thanks to Jun'ichi's unclear explanation—that he can teach her magic instead. Even after she learns that Jun'ichi's only magical talent is making Japanese sweets, Aisia keeps searching for real magic on Hatsune-Jima. In the midst of the chaos caused by her quest, Kazami Academy also welcomes new medical staff.

In this installment

The immortal Sakura Trees still bloom, and D.C.II serves as a continuation of the original Da Capo game for the PS2. Taking place fifty-three years after the events of D.C. and D.C.S.S., the narrative is set on Hatsunejima with a largely new set of characters, though some may appear familiar to followers of the series. At the center of the story is the new lead, Yoshiyuki Sakurai, who resides next door to the Asakura sisters, Yume and Otome. They are the granddaughters of Junichi and Nemu from the first entry.
