Synopsis
In the beginning, high school students Naomi Katagaki and Ruri Ichigyou appear to be complete opposites. Naomi is quiet and reserved, while Ruri is known for her harsh attitude and sharp comments, often making her classmates uneasy. However, their shared love for books slowly brings them together. As Naomi gets closer to Ruri, they discover a softer, gentler side of her that contradicts her tough reputation. This leads Naomi to develop strong feelings for Ruri, which they express to each other and are mutual. Tragically, their relationship is cut short when Ruri falls into a coma after being struck by lightning. Driven by love, Naomi vows to do whatever it takes to revive Ruri and restore her cheerful nature.
