Nerima Daikon Brothers
練馬大根ブラザーズ
Synopsis
In the town of Nerima, the energetic Hideki and his level-headed brother Ichiro cultivate a daikon radish farm alongside their cousin Mako, who is both lively and self-centered. The three of them dream of saving up enough money to build their own concert hall, so that their band—the Nerima Daikon Brothers—can rise to fame. However, what they earn from the farm and Ichiro's side job at a host club is not enough to meet their goal quickly, which leads them to try a series of quick-money schemes. Their typical plan involves intercepting criminals and seizing the stolen money, but even when they manage to stop the wrongdoers, the brothers never end up any richer. In spite of these failures and the meddling of policewoman Yukika Karakuri, the trio refuses to give up on their dream of success. With help from the inventions provided by rental shop owner Nabeshin, the Nerima Daikon Brothers find themselves in one absurd predicament after another, propelled by their lively music and comedy.
