Synopsis

In Heaven, young angels must reside among humans to finish their training and become full-fledged angels. Gabriel White Tenma, the top student in her class, initially believes her mission is to spread happiness. However, upon arriving on Earth, she becomes obsessed with video games, transforms into a hikikomori, dubs herself a "Fallen Angel," and loses interest in everything else. This behavior frustrates Vignette April Tsukinose, a demon who befriended Gabriel during their early days on Earth. Although Vignette attempts to help Gabriel return to her former self, Gabriel remains perfectly content with her new lifestyle. On Earth, the pair encounters Raphiel Ainsworth Shiraha, an angel from Gabriel's class with sadistic tendencies, and Satanichia McDowell Kurumizawa, a clumsy demon who dreams of ruling the Underworld. Gabriel DropOut chronicles the everyday antics of these four characters as they navigate life on Earth without truly grasping what it means to be an angel or a demon.
