Synopsis

Kuro Daijuuji is a down-on-his-luck private investigator operating in Arkham City. One day, Ruri Hado from the Hado Financial Group approaches him with a job: locate a magical tome. At first, Kuro turns down the offer, but Ruri convinces him by promising a substantial payment upon completion. While scouring the city for the book, Kuro has an unexpected encounter with Al, a beautiful young woman who is in fact a powerful grimoire. The two form a contract, granting Kuro access to formidable sorcery. Shortly thereafter, Al activates Demonbane, a deus machina belonging to the Hado Financial Group, to confront the robotic threat emerging from the Black Lodge. This marks the beginning of a conflict between the Hado Financial Group and the Black Lodge.
