Synopsis
Continues the story of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal
In the futuristic Heartland City, Yuuma Tsukumo dreams of becoming the top duelist, but his poor skills make that goal seem out of reach. His fortunes change when school bully Ryouga "Shark" Kamishiro breaks the key given to Yuuma by his father into two pieces. Clutching one half, Yuuma challenges Shark to a duel and is quickly overwhelmed. Suddenly, the key mends itself, and the Door of Destiny appears. Unlocking it with the key, Yuuma meets Astral, an alien visible only to him. He discovers his memories have been split into 100 Number Cards that he must reclaim. Others are also searching for these cards. With Astral's help, Yuuma must protect Heartland City from looming threats while dealing with divine interventions along the way.
In this installment
After defeating a mysterious enemy, Yuma Tsukumo, together with Kaito Tenjou and Ryouga "Shark" Kamishiro, succeeds in stopping the Barian Empire's sinister schemes. Even so, Yuma remains focused on gathering the Number Cards so Astral can recover his lost memories. The Seven Barian Emperors, aware of Yuma and Astral's mission, begin their own search for the cards, hoping to destroy Astral's world to protect their own. Although only five emperors have appeared, they share a common goal of wiping out both Astral and Yuma. Armed with their upgraded ZEXAL abilities, Astral and Yuma face the threats endangering Earth and the universe beyond. Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II reveals the hidden truths and unexpected obstacles that arise following Yuma's battles. As Astral struggles to accept his past and the consequences it may bring, can luck continue to side with Yuma during this dangerous journey?
