Synopsis

Continues the story of Symphogear GX

Following the conclusion of Senki Zesshou Symphogecho G, Hibiki Tachibana, Tsubasa Kazanari, and Chris Yukine resume their duties under Genjuurou Kazanari's command. Meanwhile, Maria Cadenzavna Eve, Kirika Akatsuki, and Shirabe Tsukuyomi remain under protection. Though peace has been restored, their return to normal life is disrupted by the emergence of alchemist Carol Malus Dienheim and her group, the "Autoscorers," who seek to plunge the world into chaos once more. Carol wields mysterious and powerful magic aimed at triggering the end of the world, and she will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. Facing this cryptic adversary, the six Symphogear users are compelled to act to protect what they hold dear. Can they overcome Carol and her Autoscorers in this struggle to preserve the world's future?

In Symphogear AXZ, Hibiki Tachibana confronts her greatest ordeal yet—summer homework—despite having defeated formidable foes, rescued countless people, and weathered many perilous scenarios. While her life as a high school student seems ordinary, her work with the military organization S.O.N.G. is far from it. As a Symphogear user, she wields ancient, powerful armor alongside her team to handle global emergencies and disputes under the authority of the United Nations. During a briefing at S.O.N.G. headquarters, Hibiki learns about the Bavarian Illuminati, a clandestine group linked to earlier disasters and now active in the war-torn nation of Val Verde. Hibiki and her team storm one of the Illuminati's facilities, liberating hundreds of hostages. When they are discovered, the Illuminati leaders—Saint-Germain, Cagliostro, and Prelati—reveal themselves and their alchemical abilities, announcing a worldwide revolution that sacrifices thousands of lives. To face this new menace, Hibiki and her allies are thrust into their most grueling and devastating battle yet against the Bavarian Illuminati.
