Synopsis

Continues the story of Love Between Fairy and Devil

After being sealed away for a thousand years, the ancient demon lord Dongfang Qingcang finally breaks free and immediately plunges the three realms into conflict between immortals and demons. To escape his imprisonment, the demon sovereign exchanges souls with Lanhua, an immortal who struggles to control her own magical powers, and in the process inadvertently destroys her physical form. Left with no other choice, the two set off together in search of a new vessel for her. Throughout their journey, they clash and bicker through countless trials, and Lanhua gradually finds herself falling for Dongfang Qingcang—unaware that he has only ever seen her as a means to resurrect Chidi, the ancient god of war. Beneath his composed exterior, a far greater scheme is quietly taking shape.

After the war, Dongfang Qingcang goes back to the Cangyan Sea but falls into a trap set by the Peacock Military Advisor. At the same time, the God of War Chidi repeatedly appears in Orchid's dreams, speaking in cryptic riddles. While Dongfang and Orchid—who are enemies—journey together, they start to catch glimpses of the Three Realms of Shadows, a realm separate from the ordinary Three Realms. This leads to the unveiling of a major hidden truth.
