Synopsis

After failing his university entrance exams, eighteen-year-old Tsukasa Mizugaki secures a position at Sion Artificial Intelligence Corporation through personal connections. The firm produces Giftias, sophisticated androids nearly identical to humans yet bound by a strict operational limit of 81,920 hours, or roughly nine years and four months. Tsukasa joins Terminal Service One, a unit dedicated to retrieving Giftias nearing the end of their lifespan to prevent memory loss and potential hazards. Soon after his arrival, he is paired with Isla, a seasoned team member who is a strikingly beautiful Giftia. Despite her delicate and reserved nature, she proves exceptionally capable in retrieval duties. As their time together nears its inevitable end, Tsukasa grapples with his deepening feelings for Isla while accepting the harsh truth that nothing lasts forever.
