Continues the story of Gundam Build Fighters: GM no Gyakushuu
Just before the grand opening of Yajima Stadium, Nils Nielsen arranges a showcase battle for Sei Iori, Meijin Kawaguchi, and their friends, using his brand-new large-scale combat simulator. When the group assembles, Sei presents his upgraded Build Strike Cosmos but feels something missing in the excitement. Abruptly, a mysterious force seizes control of the stadium's systems, trapping Sei and his companions inside. A dark group then appears, challenging the trapped competitors to a Gunpla Battle.

The story of Gundam Build Fighters Try takes place 7 years after the conclusion of the first series, when Iori Sei and Reiji won the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championships. At Seiho Academy, the Gunpla Battle Club now has only one member: Hoshino Fumina, a third-year junior high student. As club president, she needs two more members to compete in the upcoming All-Japan Gunpla Battle Championships. One day, she meets a transfer student named Kamiki Sekai, who has been traveling for Kenpo training with his master. Joined by a young Gunpla builder, Kousaka Yuuma, their challenge in Gunpla Battle begins.
