Synopsis
Ryouta Sakamoto is an unemployed young man residing with his mother, renowned solely as Japan's number one player in the online game Btooom!. His mundane existence is shattered when he wakes up on a secluded island, possessing no memory of his arrival and finding a small green crystal embedded in his left hand. The horror sets in as he realizes the virtual battle he enjoys has manifested in reality. Every participant is equipped with special bombs known as "BIM" and must defeat seven opponents to claim their green crystals, the only way to secure a return home. Although Ryouta initially hesitates to engage in violence, the cruel nature of his fellow competitors forces his hand. He eventually teams up with Himiko, another proficient Btooom! player, as they strive to flee the island and gradually expose the sinister secrets driving this lethal tournament.
