Synopsis

Continues the story of Zombie-Loan

Ever wonder when you'll die? Michiru Kita doesn't have to wonder—she can see the ring of death around people's necks, and the darker the ring, the closer death looms. When she notices two boys in her class, Chika Akatsuki and Shito Tachibana, bearing completely black rings, she moves to warn them of their approaching end. Instead, she stumbles upon their secret: they are already dead, kept alive through a contract with Zombie-Loan. But nothing comes without a price—the boys must hunt and destroy zombies, and they want Michiru's "Shinigami Eyes" to help them in their mission.

The series was initially intended to run for more than twenty episodes, but it was unexpectedly cut short without any disclosed explanation. The extra episodes included on the seventh DVD volume serve to continue the narrative beyond the original broadcast.
