Continues the story of Granblue Fantasy: The Animation
In a world suspended among the clouds, numerous islands float through the sky. On the mysterious island of Zinkenstill, a boy named Gran lives alongside his winged lizard companion, Vyrn. Their peaceful existence is disrupted when they come across Lyria, a young girl escaping from the Erste Empire, a powerful military regime aiming to conquer the world with its formidable forces. To evade capture by the Empire, Gran and Lyria embark on a journey across the endless skies, guided by a letter from Gran’s father that reads, "I will be waiting at Estalucia, the Island of Stars."
In this installment
In their flight from the Erste Empire, Gran and the crew of the Grandcypher receive a proposal for a ceasefire. They travel to the neutral territory of Albion Citadel, where they are greeted by Vira Lillie, the current Lord Commander of Albion and a former classmate of Katalina Alize. Although Imperial General Furias officially grants a pardon to the Skyfarers, tensions remain high. The Skyfarers attend a gala hosted by Vira to mark their visit, but the mood remains uneasy due to Furias and his Erste allies staying on Albion after the negotiations. When they learn of a Primal Beast on the island and find a resignation letter from Katalina, the crew is taken aback. Gran sets out to find their missing companion, while Eugen and Rackam investigate the imperial forces on the island, suspecting a deeper, more sinister plot behind the empire's actions.
