Synopsis

In "Tonkatsu DJ Agetarou," Katsumata Agetarou works during the day at his family's tonkatsu restaurant in Shibuya. At night, he dreams of becoming a famous DJ. After making a delivery to a nightclub, Agetarou is invited inside as thanks. Though initially nervous, he becomes captivated by the club's lively atmosphere, drawn to the dancers, flashing lights, and pulsing music. He starts visiting regularly, and one night meets the legendary American DJ Big Master Fly. Watching Big Master Fly's amazing set, Agetarou sees the connection between mixing music and making tonkatsu, which fuels his desire to master both. With encouragement from his community friends and his mentor DJ Oily, Agetarou chases his passion while dealing with family disputes, romantic issues, and other obstacles. "Tonkatsu DJ Agetarou" is a humorous story about a headstrong young man trying to find his own path while meeting his family and social responsibilities.
