Synopsis

Continues the story of Aggretsuko (ONA) 2nd Season

In the second season of Aggretsuko, red panda Retsuko continues her monotonous office job, finding relief in her death metal karaoke sessions. With new friends Gori and Washimi, her life has become more enjoyable. However, fresh challenges arise that could raise her stress levels. At work, the arrival of Anai seems positive, but Retsuko's assignment to mentor him reveals his overly eager approach might disturb office harmony. Meanwhile, at home, Retsuko's mother makes an unexpected visit, insisting that Retsuko should focus on settling down and finding a partner. To this end, she arranges a series of matchmaking events for Retsuko, which Retsuko finds upsetting. As these pressures build, Retsuko often turns to the karaoke bar to vent her frustrations through her death metal performances. Realizing this isn't a lasting solution, she decides to take a break from her routine. This leads Retsuko on a journey of self-discovery and reflection, where she explores more about herself and matters of the heart, all while continuing to find comfort in her passion for death metal karaoke.

After a difficult breakup, Retsuko, the red panda, decides to avoid romantic relationships with real individuals and instead focuses on virtual reality, where her digital companion provides endless flattery and cute outfits, albeit at a price. Struggling with financial issues, Retsuko has an accident while driving a rental car, colliding with a parked van. The van belongs to Hyoudou, a strict cheetah who employs her as an accountant for his underground idol group. The demanding nature of her new job pushes Retsuko to her breaking point, often triggering her rage through death metal karaoke sessions. As she navigates these challenges, Retsuko wonders if she desires a mundane life or if there is more to be found outside her office walls. Can Retsuko find success both professionally and romantically, or will she settle for the routine of her cubicle life?
