Synopsis
An avid reader of xianxia tales, Shen Yuan knows the standard narrative: the protagonist turns dark, seeks vengeance on their cruel mentor, and collects a harem. When he is transported into the world of "Proud Immortal Demon Way," he believes he can predict the story. But instead of becoming the hero, he awakens as Shen Qingqiu, the antagonist fated for a disgraceful demise. Now inhabiting Shen Qingqiu, he strives to alter this set fate and avoid being betrayed by Luo Binghe, the story's lead. Struggling to shed the original Shen Qingqiu's cruel tendencies, he is constantly hindered by a surveillance system that forces the predetermined plot. Shen Yuan must build a genuine connection with Luo Binghe to eliminate any motivation for later retaliation. Yet, given the numerous tragedies the protagonist is meant to suffer because of Shen Qingqiu's actions, changing his destiny remains an immense challenge.
