Synopsis
Continues the story of Valvrave the Liberator
It is the 71st year of the True Era, and humanity has expanded into space, populating numerous colonies across the galaxy. Two major powers dominate the world: the Atlantic Rim United States (ARUS) and the Dorssia Military Pact Federation (Dorssia), locked in combat on both Earth and in orbit. Caught in the middle, a neutral alliance comprising Japan and the Islands of the Oceanian Republic (JIOR) maintains peace and economic stability by staying out of the wars. The events of Kakumeiki Valvrave take place in a JIOR space colony, where Haruto Tokishima, a 17-year-old student at Sakimori Academy, enjoys a quiet routine—until a Dorssian fleet launches a surprise assault on the neutral colony. Their objective: seize the Valvraves, rumored to be powerful mechas hidden beneath the school. In the chaos, Haruto discovers one of these machines. Determined to protect his friends, he climbs into the Valvrave and forms a pact to wield its strength, sacrificing his humanity in the bargain. Together with L-elf, a shrewd Dorssian agent and strategist, Haruto vows to free the world using the Valvrave.
