Synopsis
In "Gourmet Girl Graffiti," Ryou Machiko is a middle school student who learned from her late grandmother that cooking is key to being a good wife. Her dishes look and smell delicious, but recently they have lost their taste, leaving the aspiring artist feeling discouraged and resigned to a solitary life. Her outlook changes when her aunt tells her that Kirin Morino, her second cousin, will be visiting every weekend. Kirin has moved to Tokyo for a cram school and plans to attend the same school as Ryou. When Kirin arrives, Ryou's cooking miraculously improves. The secret is not in her cooking techniques, but in sharing meals with family and friends, which brings out the true flavors of her dishes.
