Synopsis

Continues the story of Corpse Party: Missing Footage

After school, a group of friends attempts the Happy Sachiko charm, a paper doll ritual that promises to bind their friendship forever. But performing it incorrectly transports them into a decayed, spectral version of Tenjin Elementary School, which was destroyed years ago. To escape this haunted realm, the students must properly repeat the charm while uncovering the school's dark history. Before this fateful event, the friends lived normal lives. Corpse Party: Missing Footage shows a glimpse of their everyday activities on the afternoon before their fall into a nightmarish ordeal.

In this installment

A group of nine students meets at their high school after dark to say goodbye to a friend. Following a common tradition among high schoolers, they carry out a ritual meant to keep their friendship eternal, using tiny paper charms crafted to look like dolls. Unbeknownst to them, these charms are linked to Heavenly Host Academy, an elementary school that was demolished long ago following a string of horrific murders. That school lies beneath the very ground on which their own Kisaragi Academy was built. Now imprisoned in a parallel world alongside the angry spirits of the past, the students must cooperate to find a way out—or become eternal members of the accursed ghostly populace. Offering a banquet for enthusiasts of mystery, gore, and horror, Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou presents a sobering examination of redemption, sacrifice, and the way the past perpetually lurks just behind us, occasionally uncomfortably near.
