As he navigates this unfamiliar realm, Shiroe assists others in adjusting and negotiates with non-player characters to establish order within the digital city of Akihabara. He is joined by Naotsugu, a less fortunate friend who had not logged in for years and became trapped, as well as Akatsuki, a petite yet deadly assassin who pledges Shiroe as her master. Log Horizon weaves together fantasy, adventure, and political intrigue, examining the gaming experience through the eyes of a strategic genius facing a perplexing dilemma.
