Synopsis

Mahiru Shirota believes in keeping things simple and avoiding unnecessary complications, but he also knows that inaction can lead to future regrets. This philosophy drives the fifteen-year-old to take in a stray cat he finds on his way home from school, naming it Kuro. What Mahiru doesn't realize is that this choice will completely change his ordinary life. One evening, Mahiru returns home to find a strange young man inside his house. Startled, he accidentally exposes the intruder to sunlight, which causes him to transform into Kuro. The newcomer, a laid-back vampire who prefers staying indoors, reassures Mahiru that he will leave when night falls. However, a series of mishaps leads to Mahiru unknowingly forming a contract with his unexpected guest, pulling him into a dangerous conflict involving supernatural servants and bloodthirsty creatures—far from his ideal of simplicity.
