Synopsis

Kaede is a bright and lively eighth grader who's full of energy—except when it comes to boys, where she's completely helpless and shy. One afternoon on her way home from school, she wanders into a strange shop and buys a colorful cocoa mug. Once she's back home, she happens to glance inside and spots an inscription etched into the bottom. It reads: "If you read this message aloud while pouring hot cocoa into the mug, a love fairy ('muglox') will appear and grant your every wish." Skeptical but intrigued, Kaede follows the instructions and declares her wish to go out with Yuuki, the most popular boy in class. In an instant, the adorable blue Mirumo shows up! But it quickly becomes clear that this cute little muglox would much rather stuff his face with chocolate and cause chaos than actually help Kaede. As it turns out, Mirumo is the prince of the muglox world. Desperate to escape his arranged marriage to Rirumu, his princess bride-to-be, he fled his home realm. But the pursuit is relentless—Rirumu, Yashichi the bounty hunter, and a whole crowd of muglox, ranging from good to bad to completely bonkers, are hot on his trail. This gang of adorable troublemakers is determined to make sure school life for Kaede and her friends will never be the same again.
