Synopsis

In 19th-century Paris, Claude Claudel and his grandfather Oscar operate a metalworking shop within the Galerie du Roy. Upon returning from a trip, Oscar brings a young Japanese girl named Yune into their home. Though Claude is initially reluctant, he ultimately agrees to let Yune stay and work with them. As Yune adjusts to her duties as a live-in maid, Claude is challenged by her unfamiliar traditions. Over time, while caring for Yune and running the shop, Claude develops a deepening interest in Yune and her faraway homeland.
