Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House

Synopsis

In "Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House," childhood friends Kiyo Nozuki and Sumire Herai both share the same dream of becoming maikos, apprentice geishas. When they join a maiko house, Kiyo is judged unsuitable for maiko training and instead takes on the role of a live-in cook. Sumire, in contrast, proves to be an ideal maiko candidate and begins her training without any trouble. Though Kiyo is initially disappointed, she keeps a cheerful attitude, bringing joy to the household through her cooking and inspiring those around her with her positive spirit.
