Synopsis
During her summer vacation, Ruka Azumi spends time playing handball while avoiding her alcoholic mother at home. After being expelled from the team following a practice incident, Ruka looks for new things to do and ends up at her father’s workplace, an aquarium. There she encounters Umi, a mysterious boy raised by dugongs who is under study due to his unusual body that requires constant contact with water. Ruka and Umi quickly become friends, and their bond grows when Sora, Umi’s brother who shares a similar connection to the sea, joins them. The three explore a breathtaking underwater world and uncover a peculiar festival that all marine life across the globe is preparing for.
