Resumo

Durante a Guerra de Um Ano, Katz estava entre as crianças órfãs que residiam no White Base. Embora fosse bastante jovem na época, ele acabou se tornando o filho adotivo de Hayato e Fraw Kobayashi na época do conflito entre os Titans e a AEUG. Ele se junta à AEUG como soldado, servindo sob o comando de Char. Falto de verdadeira experiência em combate, Katz frequentemente se vê punido por suas ações.
