Summary
Konchi serves as Kenji’s childhood friend and a member of his band, appearing prominently in the flashbacks set during the 1970s. His role remains secondary because the narrative never depicts his adulthood. Although he was close to Kenji and the others during their youth, Konchi moved to Hokkaido during his final year of primary school, which explains his limited presence in the story. In 2000, he received a letter from Kenji requesting help, but he did not meet with his childhood friend at that time. He appears to regret this decision by the year 3 Ami. It is during this period that readers rediscover him, as he broadcasts a looping song by Kenji on the radio from his location in Hokkaido. No voice actor has been assigned to this character yet.
