Kamitani, Taka
Summary
Taka is one of the children under the care of Ryuuichi Kashima. He is the son of Shizuka Kamitani, who works as a science teacher at the local middle school, and the younger sibling of Hayato, whom he deeply respects. Their relationship is a mix of affection and friction; while Hayato occasionally shows his love, he most frequently punishes Taka by hitting him on the head, a recurring gag in the series. It is later revealed that their father is Hebihara Taizou, a chemistry teacher at the high school. Personality-wise, Taka is quite talkative and maintains friendly relations with all the other children in the daycare. He is particularly close friends with Kotarou. Taka has a habit of playing heroes and often cries about his brother's physical punishments, at which times he refers to Hayato as "Baka Aniki" (stupid older brother).
