Summary
Kasajiro Sakane is one of Edo's top police officers, known for using a hook and rope to apprehend suspects. Of lower-caste samurai status, he holds Asaemon in high regard as both a mentor and colleague, serving as the person closest to him. Asaemon even adopted Kasajiro’s wife, Shinko, and stood in as the father of the bride at their wedding.
