Nanami serves as a devoted second-in-command to Morihiko Dan. He possesses exceptional expertise in disguise, frequently utilizing this skill at Dan’s behest to monitor Class Q by infiltrating cases under the guise of various suspects. While he maintains a generally carefree demeanor and takes delight in showcasing his latest transformations—much to Ryu’s annoyance—he is capable of displaying intense seriousness when the situation demands it. His most iconic disguise is that of a cactus, which he sometimes pairs with a flamboyant sombrero or a full Mexican-themed outfit. This particular persona tends to emerge during moments of high stress, such as when he was forced to assume leadership of the DDS while Dan-sensei was hospitalized.
