Hourin
Summary
Hourin served as the kirin for the kingdom of Hou during the reign of Chuutatsu, who was the father of Shoukei and the second monarch she had selected. As the king grew increasingly obsessed with implementing strict laws to guarantee his subjects' righteousness, Hourin urged him to adopt a more lenient approach. However, her attempts only reinforced his conviction that even more severe measures were necessary. When Hourin fell ill with shitsudou, Chuutatsu failed to recognize that he had strayed from the right path, continuing to mercilessly punish his people.
