Summary
Stear is the elder sibling of Archie and serves as an inventive spirit who frequently creates gadgets that malfunction in humorous ways. Rather than being discouraged by these failures, the tireless inventor persistently refines his designs or moves on to new projects. He possesses a good-natured, intelligent, and creative disposition, characterized by a mature and pensive demeanor that remains unperturbed by adversity. Although he harbors deep affection for Candy, he accepts from the outset that his love must remain concealed within his heart. When the First World War erupts, Stear voluntarily enlists in the air force to fight for France.
